Solar panels typically last 25–30 years or more. This doesn't mean they stop producing electricity after that period—only that their efficiency gradually decreases over time. Most panels retain 80–85% of their original output even after 25 years.
Solar panels generally include a 12-year product warranty and a 25-year performance warranty. Inverters are usually covered for 3-5 years, and solar batteries carry a 5–7 year product warranty, with a typical lifespan of 16–20 years depending on usage and model.
If a roof leak is caused by the solar installation, it will be covered by the installer's workmanship warranty of 3 years. However, if the leak is due to pre-existing roof damage or unrelated issues, it is not covered. A professional solar installer will always inspect your roof before installation to prevent this.
Yes. Solar panels still generate electricity during cloudy or rainy days, but output is reduced—typically by 30% depending on cloud density. Even in less sunny climates, solar remains effective and financially viable.
Adding batteries allows you to store unused solar power for nighttime or brownouts. This is ideal for areas with unreliable grids or businesses that need uninterrupted power. While batteries increase upfront costs, they offer energy independence and eliminate the need for diesel generators. Higher savings will be made because no power will have to be sold and bought back from the grid at a higher price.
For residential systems, installation usually takes 1–4 days, depending on system size and roof condition. Commercial and industrial projects take longer—ranging from 2 weeks to several months—based on complexity and system size.
Solar panels are low-maintenance. Occasional cleaning (1–3 times per year) to remove dust or debris is enough. Our systems include monitoring apps that track performance 24/7, allowing issues to be detected early. We will visit every 6 months for 3 years to check all the components and make sure the system performance is optimal.
Savings depend on system size and usage. An on-grid system can save 40–60% of monthly bills, while hybrid systems (with batteries) can reduce costs by up to 100%. For businesses with high electricity consumption, ROI is typically reached within 3–5 years. For commercial projects the ROI is between 2-4 years.
Onsolar offers full payment, bank financing, or installment plans. Monthly payments are usually settled through post-dated checks (PDCs) or bank transfers. If you don't have PDCs, we can guide you in how to obtain them from your bank.
Yes. We provide comprehensive after-sales support, covering system monitoring, troubleshooting, and warranty services. To maintain peak efficiency, we conduct panel cleaning and performance checks every six months for the first three years. With branches strategically located near our installations, our technicians are typically on-site within a few hours when needed.
